Powerman 5000 on 11/11

Posted by Picasa

I've seen Powerman 5000 a lot of times over the years. I love this band a lot and have for what feels like forever. The past 4 times or so I have gotten right up front for them and their energy live is so amazing. I met the guys a few times now and finally got a picture with Spider. I love that pic so much. I've posted it like everywhere. Their new CD is so freakin good. Probably my favorite since Stars Revolt. There are so many good songs on the album. My favorite I think is either V is for Vampire or Horror Show both of which they played at the show at Rockos. I am so glad they played the old songs too. i have a signed setlist around here somewhere so i can tell you exactly what they played. Or you can just check my facebook pictures for a picture of me holding the setlist. I also got one of Daves ultra cool Powerman picks. I love him he is such a great person and is so down to earth. he loves being home and it shows. I was so happy when he played a solo right in front of me. After they played we hung outside their bus in the freezaing cold for like an hour and it was so worth it. Got to talk to Spider for awhile. Asked him if he knew where my mom lives since him and Rob grew up in Haverhill...hes so funny. He says why are you guys out here its freezing!! go home and be warm! to which I said we were waiting for you!! haha you think he'd be used to the new england weather since he grew up here and all. I was cold all the way home and most of the next day but it was worth it!!! Powerman rules!!!

Why is mordern horror all about the remake?

I hate about 95% of current horror films out there. Why you ask? Because 95% of current horror films are crappy thrown together remakes of classic horror films. Now don't get me wrong. Some remakes aren't that bad. I didn't mind the remake of The Hills Have Eyes, and Rob Zombies versions of the first 2 Halloween movies...although I think Rob should stick to his own ideas, because House of 1000 Corpses and Devils Rejects are MUCH MUCH better movies. I didn't mind the remake of Friday the 13th all that much either....though the differences between the old ones and the new one were too many to count. I wish that Hollywood horror directors would  come up with something original. That is why Hatchet is my favorite horror film. It takes the old ideas and makes them new and fun. I haven't seen the new Nightmare on Elm Street yet and I refuse. It just does NOT appeal to me. How can you have a Nightmare movie without Robert Englund? 2 people out of the hundred I asked liked it. The others said the new Freddy acted and looked retarded. All set. The last horror movie I saw that I enjoyed from recent times other than Adam Greens films was Saw...then they made 6 more of them and I lost interest!!! 7 films? Every horror movie Ive seen that has more than 3 or 4 sequels loses their appeal after #3...Why Hollywood why?!! Someone PLEASE come up with something new and original!! and if anyone is reading this, please tell me why no one can come up with an original idea thats actually good these days. Thanks!!

Adam Green Appreciation Day yesterday...

so yesterday was the unofficial Adam Green Appreciation Day on Facebook yesterday. I wanted to do something special to commemorate this day. I decided to watch Grace. A film he produced and had a very brief cameo in. I knew about the movie for quite some time but never had the courage to watch it. Everyone has those movies that just don't sit well with them. Mine are when babies or animals are the primary focus of the movie and this one was about a baby with a blood lust. It actually sat better with me than I thought it would which was a miracle. I really actually enjoyed it despite the fact that my heart was thumping out of my chest the whole time I watched it and at one point I got so freaked out that I had to go on Facebook to talk to people because I couldn't handle watching it alone. I think I did good though. I felt like I owed it to Adam to check the movie out because of how awesome he is to me and all of his fans. He is the only celeb I met at Rock and Shock who didn't charge for autographs. My friend Neal who knows him better than I do said he never will either, no matter how big his career gets. It's just a matter of time before he blows up as one of the best directors in horror. He is def. that talented. He truly wants to meet all of his fans and it shows. He even signed my Hatchet DVD and a 8x10 glossy for me and one for Bob too. He remembered me from talking briefly on facebook as well. The guy is so down to earth and amazing that he will ALWAYS have my support 500%.
